You may call me Will Vazquez. I prefer to keep my introduction brief — and intentionally so. I value meaningful conversation above all else, and I find that saying too much leaves little room for the kind of genuine exchange I truly appreciate.

I am a former Sergeant of the United States Marine Corps, a father of three, and a single parent navigating the beautiful complexity of life. Much like the four seasons, life is in constant motion — yet certain things remain immovable. My work may evolve with time, but my passion, my love, and my devotion to the arts are constants that never waver.

Time, as any artist knows, is both a gift and a constraint. There are moments when inspiration arrives with such force that I wish the paintbrush could translate thought directly — unfiltered, immediate, and free. Yet those fleeting moments of creative clarity often pass before they can be captured. It is the nature of a restless, ever-moving mind — one I suspect many of you will recognize in yourselves.

My preferred mediums are painting and drawing, with a particular affinity for abstract expression. I have also explored the craft of tufting, as well as pyrography — the art of wood burning. At one point, I even ventured into music: the Alto Saxophone and the Violin were both part of my journey, though I will confess the violin and I had a complicated relationship in my earlier years. As for singing — that chapter was mercifully brief. I have explored many artistic disciplines over the years, and I am grateful for each one, even those that revealed we were simply not the right fit for one another. Every attempt was a lesson; every lesson, a gift.

The arts are not static — they evolve, expand, and reinvent themselves with every generation. I hold deep respect for the new forms of creative expression emerging in today's world, and I am content to celebrate and uplift those who carry them forward. What matters most is that we honor the legacy of those who came before us, acknowledge the brilliance of those creating today, and ensure that the arts — in every size, shape, form, and genre — are passed on to every generation that follows. In doing so, they will never be forgotten.
